Abstract:

The oil and gas industry in California is challenged due to the ever-changing regulatory environment at the state and county level, resulting in a near-term hiatus in new well and workover permitting. To continue value generation, operators must rapidly adapt their strategies to this shifting landscape and refocus on brownfield optimization. A value of information approach is being utilized in an attempt to align value metrics across functional business units to generate the highest return on investments.
